Bunch Of Cunts!

Tuesday, May 29, 2007

Pardon the language, but what else can one say about folk that rob 87 year old ladies of their savings? People with no chance of getting a promotion or a better paid job in order to get the money back?
I am rather upset and angry that my mother's next-door neighbour has been the victim of the above-mentioned late this morning. I really can't compose myself enough to expand much on the basic facts. Just angry sweariness comes to mind!

Fuck 'em!

Bloody Computers!

Saturday, May 19, 2007

Started having boot probs this week. Could well be a buggered hard drive or perhaps something needs re-seating. Really pisses me off does this addictive technology. No sooner does my overdraft reduce than something decides to take early retirement. BTW, the HIFI isn't exactly playing ball either after a decade. Anyhow, at least I've got the data on an external now, just need to suss out whether it's routine maintenance, new hard drive (my bet) or something more, erm, intimate, so to speak.
Was down in the dumps for a week or so but rather flat and empty now.
Suppose lots of things have come to an end and anyway I've got to the month that my life was due to end and having got an extension (for personal reasons) it all seems rather unreal.
Excuse lack of posts over next week or so. Probably due to PC death or ennui.

Eurovision 2007

Friday, May 11, 2007

Hoorah for Eurovision! Enjoyed the semis/qualifiers last night over t'internet (managed a fairly stable connection even with the obsolete Alcatel modem by not playing in full-screen mode. Dunno why, just worked.)
The countries that have to qualify put far more effort in to produce a passable euro-jingle that's sufficiently 'Euro-friendly' whilst retaining a smidgen of credibility. Unfortunately UK stands out like Prince Charles' 'monstrous carbuncle' in the Euro-firmament. Lazy, uninspired/ing tune and lyrics, c-list performers/performance, abysmal concept. Nul point or at best a bottom 5 placing. Mark my turds.
For a true Eurovision classic watch the legendary Guildo Horn performing in 1998. Absolute class, with a cow-bell solo at 2'oo" and Iggy theatrics thereafter. Enjoy! (Or the Guildo Horn performing in 1998">promotional video! What a hunk of spunk!)

Votes

Did you excercise your franchise???

I did. Probably the first time I was able since I moved here, despite filling in all the various forms one recieves.

Afraid mine was something of a protest vote, but then who votes FOR anything these days.

Was bemused by the unannounced increase of 30p of Theakston's Mild at the Fish and asked the 'Licensee' as to how it could increase in price by 30p with no warning (over 20%) and was told that they did not have to display the price of guests ANYWHERE! Silly person. She also repeatedly called me an imbecile... one can assume that I will be contacting the licensing folk forthwith.

Ho hum. Tried to burn brother JCB's crap, but have only dodgy Bulgarian blanks available!

Ciao fer now,

Bugger me! I'm still here!

Tuesday, May 01, 2007

Sorry for being rather remiss as regards updating, but as nobody reads this thing apart from me... it's micturating in the breeze.

So what's been happening?

Rough few weeks, but held it together with the help of Mr Samuel Butler, Leo Fender and the local CMHT.

Had the DLA tribunal last Friday and was made an award which will at least reduce the old overdraft interest!

Hereford brother popped round for first time in 5 years as he was in MK. Good to see him and gave me a chance to sit in Becket's Park and eat fruit for an hour.

The tunes and 'mystery' present for the wonderful Monocerous have come on apace and should be sorted in a couple of weeks, all being well.

Roll on Eurovision!!! Bugger me, but I don't have much enthusiasm for it this year. It was my final 'landmark' before death this year, but something else has intervened to keep me on the planet for a couple more months. Don't all cheer at once!

Buggered if I know who's standing, let alone who to vote for on Thursday.

No doubt Mr Tony Blair will announce his departure on 9th May. My money's on that in any case.

Anything else? Nah! Stay happy.
