Back online after 3 weeks so...

• Used some of mother's xmas cash to get a 60G external HD which worked like a dream to back up the Gigs of Cakewalk projects and whatnot, then used the system restore function on boot-up to restore to factory condition. Hoorah! Still loading various software... and getting it to work again!!!!
• Brother David drove over with Mother and Tony-mate on Tuesday so we had a pub lunch and a natter along with Lozenge at the Malt Shovel, which is sadly a little dissappointing on my return after 2 years.
• Got a lovely surprise pressie from Valentina. A home-made CD which I'll open on 25th. Hopefully I'll get to have a natter on Yahoo now this darned PC is all better again.
• IE7 - anyone else noticed the slightly blurry definition since the update?
• Last drop-in was Tuesday just gone. Bit sad really. Ho hum.
• How come you can't buy fridge magnets or grape juice anymore? Bloody annoying!
• Lost out on my Spanish baccy order. Customs nabbed it and want £60 duty before they deliver it! Bastards! People flush enough to travel to Europe can buy as much baccy and booze as they like whereas us poor folk can't even buy a few packets for our own use from in-continent. Bleeding unfair!
• Even with Xmas post my surface mail parcel to Novi Sad (Serbia) arrived in less than 2 weeks and my AirMail to Italy posted Monday arrived Thursday. Seems better than posting within UK to me.

Ah well, at least you all know I'm still alive now! Have to clean up a bit and brave the food shops this morning.
