The Percy Thrower Conspiracy of 2006

Saturday, February 11, 2006

Watched Judge John Deed on BBC1 later on and was struck by the ridiculous make-up on one of the professors (the dark haired one on the Pharmaceutecal company's side), still nothing too weird. Until the expert witness on the mother's side was called Morgan Freeman, you know, the black actor? Seemed odd. Would they really pick such a well known name? Ok, maybe a bit of reverse psychology for realism i.e. there are folk with odd names and famous names in reality just by coincidence. But then... a creepy guy in the government was called Sir Percy Thrower. Now that's just taking the piss! The TV gardener famous for his cultivation of the Blue Peter garden in the 80's. Now that's taking things a little too far.

I now realise the media is a conspiratorial, intellectual spoof to control the masses. I've spotted more of this of late. Doesn't matter too much talking about it here cuz obviously the internet is part of the whole kit and caboodle along with TV, radio, newspapers, heiroglyphics, catholicism, zionism, hollywood. I'll probably have to join the serried ranks of personalities that dissappear from the media spotlight to become part of the fractal, mind control, universal consciousness phenomenon that maintains the status quo. Phillippa Forester's a big part of the organisation right now, but I'm not terribly sure i should make too much of that. If I get e-mails warning me off I'll have to quieten down or edit/delete all this. Hope it doesn't drive me underground completely. I should end there.

Awards For Sale (Arcade Fire are mediocre shocker!)

Friday, February 10, 2006

Just knocked off the radio and stuck on the Arcade Fire cd Brother-D burned me an age ago. First listening... maybe 10mins in... it's sort've, erm, ok-ish. Fuck knows why it won awards and kudos. Mostly just sounds like some 80's, third-rate indie band with a bit of cello and Eno on vocals. Oh, a bit of second rate alt-country now... Anyway, awards are shite. You get them if you've just died (Ray Charles) or have been hyped to fuck either commercially or in the erstwhile Broadsheets of the chattering classes. Go on. Tell me you can't effectively pay for these awards? I dare you?

Awards are pretty much the kiss of death to creativity in any case. All these 'award winning' comedians and comedy shows on Radio4, and Tv for that matter. That announcement makes me cringe then want to hit something, particularly as any creative spark that existed pre-award gets drowned in a sea of complacency-inducing plaudits and sycophancy.

Anyhow, thank fuck for P2P downloads and cd burning so we don't waste our money buying over-hyped shite.

Landlord wants a £10 rent increase from 1st March. Ah well, had to happen sometime.

Sun's just come out.

In The Pink

Thursday, February 09, 2006

Ok, maybe that's pushing it. Nonetheless today I'm a little brighter.

Attended the group yesterday and it went much better than the first week. Had a natter beforehand with one of the females and she was doing that name dropping thing for the first half of the session which was kind've cute and in flattering. I remember a couple of other occasions when that's happened. First at age 17 when a nice asian girl called Eela (I think) had a momentary infatuation on my YTS (youth training scheme). I'd never really had a sniff of interest before and needless to say I had nowhere near the guts to follow it up and ask her out. Another occasion was Fiona who was working as a Mental Health Liaison bod with a local drug/alcohol charity. We met at a GP event at which I had a stand for my service. Later on she gave a talk for my lovely vols and did the name-dropping thing. I fancied the pants off her! Our paths crossed a couple more times but she changed jobs, into nursing, probably mental health. Last saw her in a stationers in the grosvenor centre. She was gorgeous as ever. Sigh. Back to the group. A male member (matron!) was ok this week. I'd assumed he despised me but now I think it was more his nerves and the novelty of the whole situation. He's a bleeding handsome young buck to look at and I actually related closely to a lot of his attitudes, experiences and philosophy. Might be nice to catch up with some of those guys socially. have to give it some thought.

I finished my first track in well over two years over the weekend. It's a cover version as a present for Vale. Something of an achievement in any case.

The Psych pissed me off somewhat when I last saw him. I wish they'd get off my case on the whole alcohol/activity thing. It's all about giving things up with these bleeding health fascists! Some human support. That's my requirement and request. At least the group's starting to provide some of that, if only for 8 weeks.

Started on the LJ today. I'd registered ages ago purely to gain access to friends but now I need an area where I don't have to censor or repress thoughts, feelings, memories et al. It won't be linked from here for obvious reasons.

Tried to make GP appointment. He's away till end of months as fucking usual! So it's a 'call at 8am Monday' for an emergency appt. I hate that! Yes I need to see him. No it's not a medical emergency. I need the doctor's note and a drug change to sodium valproate (can't wait for my hair to fall out!).

Was kept behind after the group due to the whole suicide thing. Pretty predictable as if one ticks the 'I'm going to top meself' box on a Beck's questionnaire they're not going to ignore it.

Over the next week I'm going to hit the JobcentrePlus and peruse the Vol Centre. If nothing else to get my options clear in my mind.

Ok, I'm gone.
