Two prisoners who tunnelled out of a Brazilian jail were re-arrested shortly afterwards after being spotted waiting for a taxi outside the prison gates. The inmates called a cab to take them home after escaping from the Public Itu prison in Sao Paulo, reports Terra Noticias Populares. Police officers recognised and arrested the men while they waited to be picked up at the prison door. A police spokesman said: "They were so incredibly dumb, we couldn't believe our eyes. That must have been the easiest arrest in history!"

This is the gorgeous cake Vale sent me for xmas. Phwoarrr!!!! Never had an Italian cake before... but I will again. It was like a huge muffin only a bit like a bun as well, and it obviously travelled well! I did take a pic of the actual panettoni but my flash made it look weird =/

I had a very early night last night to try and regain my health... physical and mental, lol. And today I went into town which was a mistake... much too busy for my liking, but it was a success of sorts cuz I went into this little music shop and bought a new Marshall practice amp to replace my fucked-up Fender. The little darling sounds gorgeous and has this emulation thingummy which aproximates a miked-up amp only with a line out... even to the extent of a little feedback =)))))) So a 'lil treat for moi. Probably don't deserve it as I've been such scrooge-like, arsehole/dickhead over the last week, but what the hell? I might try and get hold of a cheapo keyboard too, at least, not as cheap as the Ł1.50 "My First Keyboard" that I have miked up on previous recordings, true as I'm sitting here blogging! Honest!!!!!!

btw, wtf is Casualty on at 9pm tonight????? is NOTHING sacred?

Hullo chaps. First bit of good news today. Had an xmas bevvy with emma & matt today and found out she is with child, due on May 19th (yes, that is next year lol). nice to have some good news right?

I did a stupid thing and forgot to sign my e-card this year! so to all you who got a card from superfluent@btinternet.com and just signed "snogs", well that was from moi. Doh!!!!

Absolutely nothing of interest to blog about really, apart from me having my usual christmas weirdness arrive. It consists of feeling sorry for myself, annoying people and doing stupid things in general. Ah well.

I was cheered up a little to hear about Princess Anne's dog, Dottie savaging one of the Queen's corgis on Monday. Apparently it's the same dog that bit two kids a while back. Maybe she will have to destroy it this time, like anyone else with a dangerous dog.

Off to sainsbury's in a bit to get some food and booze for the next couple of days. No, i'm not buying into the festive spirit, just haven't got a fridge or a car, mkay?

Told you there was bugger-all to blog about.

panic buying bastards at sainsbury's!. all those bastards with freezers and fridges descended like locusts leaving me to contemplate the delights of beans on toast, possibly cheese for my, ahem, festive meal which will actually be on 26th. managed to get a frozen leg of baby sheep cuz xmas ain't xmas without a cadaver, right? yup, my veggie days are over, although mostly I still have veggie stuff.

work was quiet as is usual for xmas/new year. all our callers are probably in hospital, with folks or pissed I guess. still on-call till midnight but not much going on. oh, btw, I left my food in the office fridge so I go to bed with just a red wine supper, lol.

Business as usual

Had a great afternoon with J. Did the sunday dinner thing and had lots of laughs. The cake that Valentina sent to me was, and still is really nice! Never had an Italian cake before.

I'm still single, period. As the americans say. So obviously the day was not quite as wonderful as it might have been. I supppose I knew that J wouldn't really be interested in me as anything more than a friend but it's still a bit of a knock back. Guess I'm destined to remain on the shelf =(

Happy days are here again!

That was my horoscope this week. How cool is that? :o))))) Sounds like a fun new year right?

Last night was our xmas "do". Pics here. It went really well. Top food, good company, only minor disagreements and stuff. Someone was delivered a bouquet of flowers for her birthday halfway through, which was a cool surprise. I was a little wrecked and had to put someone up for the night but wtf? it's xmas, right! Just how many times has THAT excuse been used eh? lol. Perfectly innocent it was as you would xpect cuz y'all know I only have eyes (well, ok, lips and hands!) for the delectable J.

Last day at work tomorrow! yay!!!!!

I want a pet!!!

...this was in mthe Metro commuter's newspaper last week. If you can't read the test it's basically (lol Vale!)... this woman keeps caterpillars in a shoebox (?) and hears a banging noise. She discovers they can fire their shits 38 times their bodylength (human equivalent 250ft) to keep their home clean. How cool is that? New Olympic Sport methinks.. "Shit-Put" hahahaha. Lends a whole new meaning to that saying "Don't shit on your doorstep".

I felt so tired and rough yesterday after all the work and partying that I didn't go to the John Cale gig in London =( oddly I wasn't too bothered, even after all the hassle to get the ticket and the wasted money. Happiness is a warm flat I guess.

Finally received my gift-wrapped pressies! heheheh. Can't tell you what they are obviously, cuz that might spoil the surprise for the people I'm giving them to. I also recieved a HUGE surprise parcel from Valentina!!! =))))) I LOVE surprises, so I'm sending the hugest passionate snog to Miss VV! xxxxx

Sakura Baby!

Had a top Japanese meal tonight with Jan (ex) at sakura in Northampton. Bloody expensive!!! Like Ł75 for 2!!!!!!!!! But it was a top night with top nosh and laughs. It's great to have brilliant ex's as mates IMHO, if you can pull it off (matron!) that is, :o). Anyhowm this Japanese place is top! the food is all cooked on this hot plate thingummy in the middle of your table by a scary knife juggling chef bloke... although ours kept dropping stuff rotflol! Sack the juggler!!!! hahahah Food was actually really nice and certainly THE best calamari I've EVER had, Also it was my debut with chopsticks and I think I did ok. With all these crazy knife spinning chefs and food flying around in huge plumes of flame I just HAD to make the witty "ok, now make a baked alaska" comment lol! you knew I would right?

Really glad I went, even though last night was the infamous annual Wolverhampton do, remember the pictures????? This year I was slightly more managerial and at least they sussed that eating at the start of the night was a safer bet than after the half pints of cinnamon Aftershock and Scotch, lol. Good night as it goes, but I was bleeding knackered and only got back to Northampton just in time to go out tonight, :o/ I really SHOULD be too old for this shit, right???

Cute baby pic!

I am soooooo tired today! This on-call lark sucks, especially last night when I seemed to be on the phone all night. I even missed the end of Holby City! Ok, I watched it from the kitchen while on the phone so I got the idea. The credit card took one helluva beating as I finally did most of my online, festive pressie buying :o/ and yes I totally agree that it's better to give than receive it's just harder work!!!!

Why is this last two weeks before Crimble such a hard slog? So many deadlines to meet and do's to attend, bleagh!I want my duvet!!!!

Ok, I should also wish a completely shitty christmas to the wankers that burgled Jit's flat at uni on monday, I know you probably need her pc, cd player, tv and presents for her friends much more than she does... and thank you for your extreme kindness in not taking her wheelchair or bog-roll, how considerate of you!

I can't sign off with a snog right after that so I'll plug Laura again instead, lol

It's a top hobby, you get to stay on a nice warm train and just take digi-pics through the window, lol.

I have to work till 10pm tonight which is why I'm going in late, but honestly, I could sleep for England right now. I seem to need 10,11,12 hours a day which is kinda unfeasible right? Maybe I have a terminal illness or something? Wouldn't be surprised as it goes, oh well.

I FINALLY got through to the royal mail 10 minutes before they shut on Saturday so hopefully I get to pick up the John Cale ticket today on the way to the orifice. yay

Royal Mail joke....

I'm still waiting for my John Cale ticket to arrive but I had one of those cards pushed through my letterbox saying that they had tried to deliver a "special delivery" item. There's a phone number to call so you can get it redelivered... but it's been engaged for three fucking days solid! Jesus! The gig is only one week away and my ticket is sitting somewhere in Northampton! Bugger!

Enough of the whinging already. I'm banging on with my Uni assignment this weekend, hoorah! As no-one offered to do it for me, apart from Laura that is ;o) I also got slightly festive yesterday and started thinking about xmas pressies I could buy for my chums so.... look out credit card, you're in for some damage!

*warm glow*

I had such a lovely evening with Jo tonight. I cooked a fish pie, first time ever and it actually tasted good! We had swede, carrot and cabbage with it, followed by an apple crumble which I was quite proud of. I have to admit that I used a crumble mix and ready made custard, but the rest was my own work. The apples I tarted up a little with cinnamon and ginger and it worked pretty well. We played a game of Scrabble which was an epic battle which I just sneaked by 9 points! Obviously the highlight for me was just being with Jo... ok, ok, I know, I go on about her too much, but hey, after admiring someone from afar for over three years then spending quality time with them, well, i think I'm entitled to be happy, right? And of course she IS incredibly wonderful, :o)))) I'm sure you're happy for me too.

I have to work quite a few nights over the next few weeks which sucks big time. Problem is that I have no-one to delegate the work to so i just have to do it myself. Guess I shouldn't complain but I'm a lazy sod! lol I Like being home nights!!!!

Has anyone done and Xmas shopping yet? If you have pleeeeeaaaassseeee let me know your secret and if you fancy doing mine for me, well I'm sure we could come to an arrangement ;o)
