Yeah, right, I forgot... I'm wrong cuz you say so... ok

Guy at the library pissed me off as well today. He reckons that I owe them money for an overdue book!!!! So I asks him what the book is, he tells me and I say that I'm sorry and I'll have a look at home. He says that I DID return the book but didn't pay the fine!!!! Moses on a moped! If the fucking book was overdue I'd have paid the woman when I took the book back! Anyway, I know it's stupid to get annoyed over, like £1.40 but why should I pay that and let them take the piss, eh? Some geeky bloke talking bollocks about "their system" when I KNOW it has been down more than once this year cuz I've seen them using paper and pen when their "back up" system is down as well. Apparently I'm just some hoodlum who brings his books back late and does a runner before they can get the fine out of me! FUCK OFF! If I wanted to be a bastard I think I might try something a trifle more radical than evading a "1.40 library charge???????

Chinese takeaway

After watching Northants get thrashed by Warks with the ex I got a takeaway from the new one on Clare St. Well, I say it's new, but after two years they finally re-opened it. Suffice to say that I wasn't hugely impressed with the kung-po or noodles... neither with the fact that I bought it in the first place *scowls* that's what happens when you have a few cans of an evening I guess.

Hiting the orifice early today so as to get some work done and make recompenses for yesterday's calorie-fest. Anyone know where I can magic some top volunteers who won't mind working indoors on sunny, summer evenings for no money? Sheesh! Seriously, if you have any ideas... pleeeeeaaassseee let me know! pls? pls???

My bean-sprouts are growing really well and I harvested some yesterday. Anyone who hasn't tried sprouting beans really doesn't know what they are missing. The freshest source of vitamin C you can get and incredibly cheap too! The only thing I keep getting wrong is that I try to sprout too many at once so they get tangled up in the jar. I bet the guy who's doing the electrical safety check won't know wtf these things in jars are and will assume I'm cultivating some new drug.

Another day, another boring blog, ho-hum

Carla thought this could get no worse... but here comes.... cricket!!!!!

It's a sad day for me today. Sladja is leaving her job at the all night cyber cafe in Novi Sad *mops tear from eye with corner of hanky*. I will SOOO miss our chats. I'm sure we will get to chat when she gets to a local cyber cafe around Dubrovnic and we can txt and e-mail and stuff, but I'll still miss the regular chatting. You can get attached to online chums you know and I make no apologies for it!

I'm probably going to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks... it's been kinda off and on, but I think it's more on than off again. I've never been abroad before... sheltered life and we was poor *makes big, sad eyes and hopes for money*

Oh! I boiught my ticket to see John Cale in London last night. That'll be cool. Another legend! It's great that Northampton is so close to London (60 miles), I mean I could go to the Birmingham and Milton Keynes shows too, but, well, Milton Keynes???? *rolls eyes*

My eldest brother and my little nephew came over from Warwickshire to watch the 20/20 cricket at the County Ground tonight. I know... I've never been a fan of cricket either but it was a beautiful sunny evening and there were bars and women *winks* and it actually got exciting at one point! lol. It was weird that everyone could just have their own game on the outfield at half time... imagine that in premiership football at Anfield? Like *announcer* "please have a kick around on the pitch for 15 minutes", yeah right! Anyhow, I would've enjoyed it rather more without my nephew whingeing about me smoking and the brother wanting to move all the time.

The weekend starts here!

Defragmentation

Exactly why did I have to decide to defragment the hard drive last night? eh? eh? Do you know how long it took? 6 bloody hours that's how long! Blinking flip! It's a very stressful experience with an e-machine like mine, cuz it sounds like it's going to die when you give it some work to do. Anyhow, it survived, but stoped me from doing anything all night, grrrr! I wanted to say hi to Sladja so that was a little annoying. Only consolation is that maybe Cakewalk Guitar Tracks will speed up a little and stop "dropping out" so often (home recordings create lots of huge WAV files which get fragmented and put a strain on the 'lil pc).

I've cheered up somewhat over the past two days, partly due to a couple of, ahem, "lifestyle choices" which might improve my mental, physical and financial health a little. Just have to make sure I stick to them.

btw carlala's back, so maybe to visit?

Amateur Human Being

Sunday was a really crappy day, at least i felt really down and miserable. It's been happening a lot recently, too much I think. You know those times when you just want to stop the world and get off? I'm sure other people must feel that way too sometimes and I know that there have been various things recently which could partly explain it; as someone who has lost sizeable chunks of his life to clinical depression (and some psychosis) I guess it should not be such a surprise to hit this sort of thing periodically. One of the worst things is that I engineer a downward spiral e.g. push people away and try to isolate myself when maybe it's the absolute worst time to do that... and then of course you can beat yourself up about people deserting you etc etc etc. Maybe it's just blip? Who knows? I mean with a deep clinical depression you cease to be able to function, lose skills and ALL motivation so obviously being able to maintain this place and play guitar and stuff is a positive thing, right?

Ok, so please accept my apologies for being on a downer. Needed to get that off my chest and I know there are lots of folk with similar issues on the net.

Maybe I'll make a more cheerful post later this week.

snogs and thanks for taking the time

Sunday best

It never ceases to amaze me how, no matter how shiity I feel this programme ALWAYS makes me laugh out loud! Thrill to the sound of Harry Hill singing "Ugly Duckling" to the tune of "Without You"! Listen in suspenders as the team play Monopoly! Be in awe of Humphrey's knowledge of Buxton history!

I really oughta work a little more on my new songs I guess...

Fish Porn!

Yup! Scientists in Switzerland have discovered that male fish get horny if they watch "fish porn".... hmmm..... apparently they showed male sticklebacks a video of sticklebacks 'making out' as it were, and they got turned on to the extent that they produced more sperm! Hoorah! I feel that this is hugely important scientific work which will have immeasurable impact on... errr.... something????? Well it was good for a laugh anyhow!

Those craaaaazzzzyyyyyyyy Swiss!!!!
