Well sod this for a game of soldiers!

I just blogged a hell of a lot and then it got lost on the ether!

All my best thoughts too.

I got my upgraded Nokia 5210 today, which is cool, but will be cooller when I have my entire address book in it!

The firemen are still out on strike and I tend to believe what my mother says that they are playing on 911 for an increase. I mean, if they reckon they are worth so much then where have their union been in the past 25 years? Surely the union should have negotiated smaller increases before they got to this stage? Or was it possibly the fact that 911 deified firefighters in the US, thus giving the bargaining power? Odd thing is that nobody has had the guts to ask this question in the media as of yet.

Teachers are on strike today too in SE due to inadequate London weighting....

One wonders where it's all going to end
Probably when people give a huge V to Blair & Bush when they ask us to kill Iraqi civilians

You may not agree and that is your right

Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 was an entertainment
package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try to enter the
command: C:/I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and install Begging 6.2. Husband 1.0
should thenautomatically run the applications: Guilt 3.3 and Flowers 7.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to such
background applications such as Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour
7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please remember Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that
will create Snoring Loudly.WAV files.

DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend
program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband
1.0.
It could also potentially cause Husband 1.0 to default to the program
Girlfriend 9.2, which runs in the background and has been known to introduce
Potentially serious viruses into the Operating System.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a
Limited memory and can't learn new applications quickly. You might
Consider buying additional software to enhance his system performance. I
personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Wine 4.5 combined with
such applications as Boob Job 36D and that old standby--Lingerie 6.9
(which have both been credited with improved performance of his
hardware).

Good Luck,
Tech Support

I think this is soooo funny +o)

Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and
Noticed a slowdown in the performance of the flower and jewelry
Applications that had operated flawlessly under the Boyfriend 5.0 system. In
addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs such as
Romance 9.9, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 7.4, ESPN
3.2 and Major league Baseball 4.1

Conversation 8.0 also no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6
Simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 and Hinting
6.2 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate

Cool! remember guys, if you have Kill Popup, disable it before blogging else you'lll be tearing your hair right out! KP is a great little utility tho and I'd recommend it for general surfing. I think I got it from Download.com, loads of cool stuff there.

Live life while it lasts

It was really great last night to find that my friend Teresa's poetry means something to people. That is surely important to any artist. I write bad songs and record them but wouldn't ever dream that they could ever mean anything to anybody else except for me, but if they did, to just one person, that would be wonderful.

There is a live post-mortem on TV right now (autopsy), no-one was sure if it would go aghead or not for legal reasons. I'm of the opinion that thee's no reason why not? Ever heard "Sanctity of life" by the US comedian, George Carlin? Many a true word spoken in jest as the quote goes. I mean, your body lives, your body dies, sometimes doctors hack it about to "determine cause of death", so why, if all parties consent is there a problem in allowing other people to observe this?

Weirder than weird was the Myra Hindley cremation today. Apparently all the floral tributes were cremated along with the body and the ashes were handed over to the prison service a half hour later... well excuse me! But talk to anyio who knows anything about cremation and they will tell you that large chunks of the body are not burnt, e.g. bones which are raked out after things have cooled down. I could possibly be wrong.... but in any case, I still find it really weird the way we have these multiple standards. We are when all is said and done a bag of water, carbon and other stuff. Even if you are a christian who takes the bible literally you have to accept the "dust to dust" quote, so, in that case.... what's th problem? I dunno. Anyhow, the autopsy went ahead as it's on TV now.

Sweet dreams

Yeehaw! Finally finished my assignment for Uni. Not half as good as it could or should be... but then the question was shite! lol

Had a stroke of luck when I found an on-line library which will be a really cool resource =o)

BTW I love getting feedback from folk with some constructive criticism to offer, it's always appreciated and reciprocated wherever possible. I should remind folk about the dangers of lobbing hard things around in glass houses... enuff said

What a divine Staurday... not. Got over the insomnia by sleeping in then slogging away on the Uni assignment for hours, exciting huh? Anyone fancy doing my housework for me? It just is not getting done I can tell you!

Downloaded a load of tracks off Blubster which seems to have grown out of all recognition in terms of subscribers and tracks available.

At the mo I'm playing 195 minutes of Lee Perry dowloads off Kazaa which are so cool it hurts. (Sorry neighbours!) I always have loved reggae and dub since the Clash introduced me to it through their love of the music. Denis Bovell, King Tubby, Upsetters, Ernest Ranglin! Cool or what?

Have no clue what's happening in the outside world today as have been glued to this machine resaerching the cahnging role of the voluntary sector etc etc etc yawn.......

Ahhh, life is sweet for the foreseeable future... which may well be bedtime I guess. It's always cool to be around nice people, IMHO. Others may not agree, but hey! I grew up a punk, with punk values, which believe it or not were about accepting diferences and embracing the downtrodden. Maybe that's what is mising from rebellion these days. It seems to me the only thing there is to rebel against is the huge vista of opportunity.

I guess that's a valid thing to rebel against.. cuz every generation ha to rebel, so maybe I should be more understranding i.e. if there isn't anything credible to rebelk against hey! Find something! Those 60's hippies weren't exactly "from the street" were they?

Geez I oughta stop now before I offend just about everybody! lol

Ok so rebel i your own mind by thinking your own thoughts, generating your own philosophy and not fucking about with stuff other folk hold dear.

Love to all

Grrrrrrrr..... lost my Blog! So this is MkII blog today.

Finished training my lovely volunteers tonight so that's a weight off my shoulders. Just have to worry about everything else now! Not least of which is getting my first Uni assignment in by Monday. I have no clue how to study =o( I'm pretty sure I'm not thick, it's just a new skill I suppose. Maybe I'm trying too hard or whatever, who knows?

This firefighter strike is getting weird. Loads of hoaxs and dubious fires, but I guess you never know exactly what to believe in the media. If you think only dictatorships or communist countries shield people from the truth... hey! Wake up!

On that note it was a little upsetting to hear in the national news and in the tabloid press about some folk I know who work in Mental Health in Coventry. Unfortunately one of their clients died in unusual circumstances and they missed that fact. Well to cut a long story short, I have a lot of respect for the workers involved (I have done the same sort of work myself) and whilst I'm not saying they couldn't have done things better, it's awful the way the tabloid press pounces on the rare mistake. Where are they when all the good stuff is going on the rest of the time with no problems? That's not "news" I guess. Pisses me off in any case. It's worth noting that the deceased parents are totally supportive of the workers involved, which has to tell you something, right?

I am really looking forward to my holiday in a few weeks, I reckon I need a break. But what the hell do you do with your holiday on your own? Beats me. If you go away somewhere you get bored in a few days. You stay home and you start thinking about work! Anyway it'll be good to get my guitar out and write some more tunes to post on the site and annoy you all!

Oh yeah, thanks again to Cindy for her pearls of wisdom. Visit her!

Take care y'all

Hmmmmmm...... odd day really. Thanks to Cindy at www.cinful.net for the tips on .rm files. Oy lurnin slowlee! duh!

Felt rough this morning but a couple of Ibuprofen sorted me out.

Still trying to get my head round Blog comments. I'm sure it's pretty easy but I need time!!!!

Hoorah! Got asked to speak at a posh conference in the spring with important medical blokes. Nice to feel wanted and valued for a change eh? Currently in the grips of the Firefighter strike, I remember the last one. The local TA barracks has armed guards as the Army fire equipment is stationed there (100 yards away from me). Looks like we are headed for another "Winter of Discontent", or at least as close as we can get without the nationalised industries we had all those years ago! Oh happy memories of power cuts, candles, bin-men on strike, firefighters on strike, miners, British Leyland (remember them, lol).

Never mind, apparently we're all going to die anyway. Hell! I already knew that! Life is, after all, a terminal sexually transmitted disease right?

Don't spend your life worrying... shit happens and as long as you're breathing, warm and fed, you can be happy, right? Friends, lovers and relatives would be nice too.... maybe some nice possessions.... bollocks! Well at least I'm honest lol

Hey! I finally got blogged up! Feeling ill with lovely pains behind the eyes. Wouldn't mind if I had a hangover, lol. Anyhow, it's getting late, I made a bit of a balls up of my training course tonight... but hey! who's perfect eh? This will make absolutely no sense whatsoever to anyone who doesn't know me I guess, but suffice to say I am looking forward to a whole lovely week off..... but have no clue what to do with it.

Hmmmmm.... should I be an internet tart and post a bit of background? Maybe tomorrow when I've thunk it about a bit.

I really love training people! It's one of my favourite parts of the job. I get to meet such cool people... only snags are how crap I am at it & how little time I have and how few people have the right personal qualities & dedication.

May your problems all be unimportant !!!
